MCA 4P @ Bristol Training Centre, Unit 1 & 2, Avon Riverside Estate, Victoria Rd, Avonmouth, Bristol BS11 9DB – 7 – 10 September 2026
The 4 day (32 hours) course is specifically tailored to meet MCA domestic legislation requirements and is aimed at local government officials, harbourmasters and managerial staff in the energy production and transportation industry who may have to command a response operation following an oil spill.
The management orientated course has a well balanced mix of both practical and theoretical aspects covering all issues encountered during an oil response, with a range of exercises to ensure delegates obtain a firm understanding of the requirements for an efficient spill operation.
Ambipar instructors understand how essential an effective contingency plan is during an oil spill response. They are therefore able to demonstrate to delegates how to create and implement a contingency plan following a spill from a command and management role.
MCA 5P @ Bristol Training Centre, Unit 1 & 2, Avon Riverside Estate, Victoria Rd, Avonmouth, Bristol BS11 9DB – 7 – 11 September 2026
Delegates attend a 5 day (40 hours) course either at an Ambipar Response Training Facility or at their own premises. The course is primarily aimed at those who would have overall command, or are within a management team which assists the executive manager of any oil spill incident.
Ambipar understands that in many significant oil spill situations industry works in close partnership with local government operatives resulting in a need for high level integration between civil and commercial organisations . The course highlights how best to manage this situation.
The course is mostly theory based with a number of exercises which simulate and highlights some of the decisions management staff may face during an oil spill. As well as covering the executive role during a spill event the course also highlights the many different techniques of oil recovery and the outcomes based on past experience.
The course content will ensure delegates are capable of preparing suitable incident action plans for a range of oil spill scenarios.
