Service Manager (Ferry Operations) – Orkney Islands Council

Orkney Islands Council currently has a vacancy for a Service Manager (Ferry Operations).

The Service Manager (Ferry Operations) is responsible for the day-to-day operation and management of the ferry services provided by Orkney Ferries Limited to Orkney Islands Council. The Ferry Services Manager will therefore provide leadership, vision and direction for the ferry service, with a focus on demonstrating best value and the highest operational, safety and customer standards in the delivery of the ferry service’s priorities and objectives, as aligned to the Council’s, while ensuring continuous improvement across the ferry service area of responsibility and for the forward planning and strategic input to the future provision of ferry services as part of the wider transportation strategy for Orkney.

SALARY: £56,706 – £62,619 per year (including Distant Islands Allowance and a temporary 3 year market supplement)
CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent
POSITION TYPE: Full Time
HOURS: 35 hours per week
