LOCATION: Ferry Services, Shore Street, Kirkwall, Orkney, KW15 1LG
SALARY: £50,467 – £55,173 per year (including Distant Islands Allowance)
CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent
POSITION TYPE: Full Time
HOURS: 35 hours per week
The Service Manager (Ferry Operations) is responsible for the day-to-day operation and management of the ferry services provided by Orkney Ferries Limited to Orkney Islands Council. The Ferry Services Manager will therefore provide leadership, vision and direction for the ferry service with a focus on demonstrating best value and the highest operational, safety and customer standards in the delivery of the Ferry Service’s priorities and objectives as aligned to the Council’s, while ensuring continuous improvement across the ferry service area of responsibility and for the forward planning and strategic input to the future provision of ferry services as part of the wider transportation strategy for Orkney.
