Post: Marine Superintendent – Orkney Ferries

Hours: 37 hours per week, Permanent position

Salary: £47,099 – £51,247 (Including Distant Islands Allowance)

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Marine Superintendent – Orkney Ferries.

You must possess a minimum of a STCW Master certificate with extensive knowledge and sea going experience of Ferries operations. A good working knowledge of the ISM code and associated Safety Management Systems and the ability to lead and line manage sea going staff and teams and operational shore staff is essential.

The duties will include all management aspects of internal ferry operations within Orkney and shared responsibility for the safe, effective and efficient operations of Orkney Ferries Limited. You will manage the safe, effective and efficient operation of the ferries.
